Hay una campaña dirigida por organizaciones tituladas como defensoras de los derechos civiles que busca coartar la libre expresión. Bajo el lema de “Parar el odio por el lucro” (Stop hate for profit), la Liga Antidifamación, la Asociación Nacional para el Progreso de las Personas de Color (NAACP), Color de Cambio, entre otros grupos, están presionando a empresas a que dejen de anunciarse en Facebook durante el mes de julio por considerar que esta compañía predominante de los medios sociales promueve el lenguaje y las expresiones de “odio”. La premisa falsa de dicha acusación se basa en que Facebook a categorizado a medios conservadores como el Daily Caller y Brietbart como “medios de interés periodístico” y sigue aceptando anuncios políticos del presidente Trump, algo que estos grupos considera ser “incitadores a la violencia”, promotores de “supremacía blanca”, etc. Estas acusaciones son falsedades grotescas.
Hay un número de empresas que actuando en complicidad con o en genuflexión hacia este intento de la izquierda radical de silenciar voces que disienten, y por otro lado, de negarle al presidente Trump la oportunidad de competir con anuncios en Facebook, han seguido los planteamientos de esta campaña liberticida y cargada de odio. Al pie está el nombre de algunas de estas compañías. Déjenle saber a estas empresas que repudian esta campaña subversiva no consumiendo sus productos o usando sus servicios. Este esfuerzo maligno no tiene nada que ver con la defensa de la justicia racial o de combatir el antisemitismo. Sí tiene todo ver, sin embargo, con promover la censura y el socialismo.
