"Cuba-U.S. Relations: Will democracy and liberty be served?" Invitation

Join Boston College and the Cuban-American Student Association (CASA) in welcoming Mr. Julio M. Shiling, Director of Patria de Martí, to discuss the new Cuban and U.S. Relations.

Last December, the White House announced a series of significant reforms to U.S. policy towards Cuba, including a planned re-establishment of bilateral relations, the lifting of some U.S. travel restrictions, and fewer restrictions on remittances. At our Embargo Lifting Panel we discussed the ramifications of the Embargo.

Join us on Monday to discuss the Cuban reality of living with a lack of basic human rights and what the new Cuban-U.S. relations mean for the citizens of Cuba.

This event has been made possible by the Cuban Flag in Boston - Izamiento de la bandera cubana por el Grito de Yara
This event counts for a civic engagement training hour!
